Robye Nothnagel is a wife and mother of twin daughters who has lived in Eagle County for over 20 years. February 17, 2017 her life changed forever because an 18 year old driver decided to look at her phone instead of the road while she was driving while Robye was walking across the street with her two daughters. She was hit by the car going 40 MPH. She suffered severe injuries from the crash and is very lucky to have survived the crash, as most pedestrians don’t. She became a safety advocate and shares her story with students, drivers ed groups and businesses to help save lives and spread the word about the dangers of distracted driving. Robye is a skier, biker and hiker who enjoys being outdoors in our beautiful neighborhood. She also loves traveling and exploring new places with her family and friends.
