“Brave the unknown. Trust the stirring in your heart, to voyage the fierce, uncharted territory belonging solely to you.”
Ushi Patel is an award-winning poet, designer, entrepreneur, and author of Brave the Unknown (Skywriter Books), her debut collection of poetry and winner of the Benjamin Franklin Award. Loved for raw, piercing honesty and sensual imagery, her poems touch the heart and awaken sleeping dreams within, evoking deep emotion to inspire courage and spark change. She is also co-founder and the Brand Architect at BoominGroup, a unique business incubator that creates, builds and invests in businesses, using a model based on nature. In collaboration with her business partners and team, she is reinventing the way people do business, so they may express and offer their unique gifts to the world in a way that benefits their own life, the collective, and the earth.
Today, Ushi is the CEO of Everstrong, a company incubated by BoominGroup, that connects people to unique experiences in nature via an app and membership based community. Her intention to lead Everstrong was born from a wish to offer others the same experience that gave her poetry and a rekindled relationship with herself. Drawing from the confluence of art, business and technology, Ushi is on a mission to give poetry life beyond the bookshelf and to give rise to the next generation of voices and entrepreneurs. Ushi is a graduate of RIT’s College of Imaging Arts and Sciences with an MBA from their College of Business, where she was also an All-American volleyball player and NCAA record holder. She currently lives in Woodside, California where she is writing her forthcoming book of poetry, “I am Free,” the discoveries of a wild journey within to free her voice and rekindle a lost relationship with her self. Her words evoke powerful imagery and emotion, to illustrate the beauty and value of the human experience, urging us to embrace our own journey to freedom as a catalyst for social change and healing.
